Immersion into Design and Critique - Workshop
I made a hat each day at the Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts in Gatlinburg Tennessee. It’s an extraordinary environment – an oasis internationally recognized as a visual art education center providing a superabundance of creative experiences. The school attracts artists and faculty, worldwide. Had a weeklong immersion into a design and critique experience with Jan Wutkowski. She is a totally inspiring, accomplished and progressive milliner with whom I have spent years in various capacities of learning.

Studio Work-cation
My three-artist “Work-cation” was on order for the end of August. I was fortunate to host my mentor and favorite Hat-Making teacher, Jan Wutkowski, and Michelle Harris, (awesome new shoe couturier) to share new techniques applicable to my hat creations and Michelle’s shoes!
Some of these very clever techniques we worked with over 3 inspiring days together will be incorporated into Michelle's and my newest creations.
